The Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is a vital part of the Marketing and Public Relations team, executing and optimizing digital marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for growing LifeServe Blood Center’s digital presence by creating engaging content, managing digital marketing and social media channels, and supporting donor recruitment campaigns. This role will execute and optimize social media strategy, support email and text marketing campaigns, help manage website and intranet content, and use analytics to continuously improve audience engagement and recruitment campaign performance to connect more people with LifeServe’s lifesaving mission.
This is a hybrid position that requires the team member to be in-house approximately three days per week, while the other two days may include remote work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages LifeServe’s social media channels by creating, scheduling and publishing engaging content, monitoring and responding to audience interactions, and identifying opportunities to increase audience growth, online engagement, and blood donation appointments.
- Collaborates with PR coordinators, graphic designer, and other team members to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring messaging is consistent with LifeServe brand standards.
- Maintains and updates website content to ensure information is accurate, timely, and optimal for user experience.
- Uses Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, and other marketing analytics tools to measure campaign and content performance, identify trends and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Deploys email and SMS marketing campaigns using the organization’s marketing automation platform, and monitors and improves campaign performance.
- Monitors social media trends, emerging platforms, and digital best practices to identify opportunities relevant to LifeServe’s mission.
- Requires occasional evening and weekend work.
- Holds a current driver’s license and has a motor vehicle report meeting insurability requirements required.
- Maintains confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donors, team members, financial/proprietary records, and other information at all times.
- Maintains acceptable attendance.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Working knowledge and experience working on a computer system required.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and a willingness to engage in learning other software.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, digital media, or a related field is preferred.
2-3 years of professional experience in digital marketing, social media, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
