Magnum Electric is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Electrical Controls Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in electrical estimating and industrial controls. No previous estimating experience is required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced estimators and project managers to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical controls projects while developing a strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation, and construction processes.

Estimator Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing estimates for electrical controls and automation projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for electrical materials and equipment.
- Request and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare material and labor cost estimates.
- Maintain organized bid files and estimating documentation.
- Communicate with project managers, vendors, and customers as needed.
- Assist with bid submissions and project handoffs.
- Learn industry standards, estimating software, and company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Estimator Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree or coursework in electrical technology, construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or construction
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is preferred but can be learned.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
