Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties

Support the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and workflow efficiency
Oversee food production processes, ensuring proper handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with menu planning and recipe development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with customer preferences
Manage inventory control and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for large groups or special occasions
Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen environment
Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality, fostering a positive team atmosphere

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
Proven supervising experience managing kitchen teams effectively
Knowledge of dietary department requirements and dietary restrictions handling
Skilled in food production, food service management, and catering operations
Strong inventory management skills including inventory control and cost control measures
Expertise in food handling, safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and kitchen management best practices
Experience with menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations
Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams as a chef within fast-paced settings
Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines with an emphasis on quality presentation
Background in banquet experience and large-scale food service operations
Ability to oversee food safety sanitizing procedures diligently while maintaining high standards of hospitality
