Full Job Description

Lead used vehicle operations for a top-performing automotive group in Connecticut.

We’re looking for an experienced Used Car Director to oversee used vehicle operations across our Honda, Acura, and Used Vehicle Superstore. This role is for someone who understands how to manage inventory, develop teams, and drive consistent profitability.

Our Honda store is the #1 Honda dealer in the Hartford market, and we continue to invest in the business, including a New Honda and Used Vehicle facility. As a family-owned group, we take a long-term approach and are looking for a leader who can help strengthen and scale our used vehicle operation.

What You’ll Do

Oversee used vehicle operations across multiple rooftops

Manage inventory acquisition through trade-ins, auctions, private purchases, and digital sourcing

Set and manage pricing strategy, inventory turn, aging, and gross performance

Work with leadership to set and achieve performance goals

Lead and develop sales and inventory management staff

Improve reconditioning flow and reduce time to market

Use market data and analytics to guide purchasing and pricing decisions

Maintain process discipline and accountability across the department

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability

What We’re Looking For

Experience managing a high-volume used vehicle operation

Strong track record in inventory acquisition and profitability

Solid understanding of automotive financial metrics (turn, gross, ROI, etc.)

Experience leading and developing teams

Strong communication and organizational skills

Familiarity with tools such as vAuto, ACV, Manheim, SAA, OVE, Adesa and dealership DMS platforms
