Full Job Description

LA Food Group Inc. owns and operates several premier restaurants in the Los Angeles Area. Each brand represents a unique concept, but they all share one common goal, and that is to create an exceptional customer experience with every visit. Currently, we are looking for a creative and driven Event Sales Manager to lead event sales & management at 2 of our unique restaurants. The candidate will be responsible for the booking and complete management of all private events at both locations. The job includes a base salary 70,304plus commission on all events.

Roles & Responsibilities

Event sales and management
Manage inbound prospects, sell packages, execute contracts
Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as banquets, corporate meetings, weddings, and fundraising activities
Plan, coordinate, and execute special events for the restaurants.
Prospecting and identifying potential events lead by creating strategic alliances with professional groups, organizations, and other related vendors
Restaurant floor supervision
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
Manage logistics including venue selection, catering, décor, audio-visual needs, and guest services
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and pricing
Assist in creating marketing materials for the marketing team to promote the restaurants
Identify digital outlets (websites and social media) to promote events
Collaborate with management to expand and refine program offerings
Oversee event budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines
Implement upselling strategies to enhance client offerings and maximize revenue
Lead a team of staff members during events to ensure seamless operations
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Foster relationships with strategic partners to drive event sales (i.e. hotels, wedding-related stores, funeral homes, etc.)
Conduct site tours and client meet and greets to inspire new bookings
Respond to all events leads in a timely manner at both locations
Collect deposits, finalize contracts, and create menus for all events
Be the point of contact for clients at all events
Ordering/receiving / pickup of all essential needs for events (i.e., linen)
Update event calendar in real time to reflect any/all changes, especially when new events are guaranteed with a deposit
Conduct weekly event meetings with Chef and GM to coordinate BEOs
Create a seamless experience by overseeing the set-up, breakdown, and execution of all events
Meet quarterly/yearly sales goals as laid out by ownership

Requirements

Event sales & marketing 2+ years – Required
Proven experience in events management or event planning within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Experience in restaurant management & operations – Highly preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Keen eye for detail and design
Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
Proficient in guest services with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail
Ability to commute to Silver Lake Area & Montrose, CA
