Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our winning Optometry team. The ideal candidate must provide exceptional customer support and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Hours are 33-40 hours a week and some evenings/Saturdays are necessary.

MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF OPTICAL INSURANCE

Duties

Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Manage scheduling and calendar appointments for staff members.
Perform clerical duties such as emailing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including proofreading documents for accuracy.
Submit for visual exams, glasses and/or contact lenses to optical insurance.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Provide administrative support as needed, acting as a personal assistant to management when required.
Ensure that all customer service interactions are handled with care and professionalism.

Skills

Proven optical experience with knowledge of optical insurance like VSP, Eyemed, Davis is required.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in office management software and basic computer applications.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
Strong attention to detail with exceptional proofreading abilities.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong interpersonal skills.
