Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and self-motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of legal principles, particularly in areas such as criminal defense and personal injury. This role involves supporting one attorney along with another full time paralegal in various legal tasks, including conducting research, giving clients updates on their cases, and managing documentation to ensure efficient operations within the firm.

Responsibilities

Utilize AI apps to assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including basic contracts and pleadings.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Manage and organize case files using document management systems to ensure easy access to information.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases.
Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars for attorneys.
Prepare summaries of findings from research and interviews for attorney review.
Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines throughout the case management process.
Explain our fee structures for our DUI cases to potential clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
Familiar with Artificial Intelligence (AI) apps such as Claude, Gemini or Chat GPT.
Proficiency in Clio or similar legal software is a plus.
Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents and interacting with clients.
Familiarity with document management systems to streamline workflow processes.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Previous experience in immigration law or environmental law is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
