Senior Residential Construction Project Manager

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year (DOE) + Performance Bonuses

Build Exceptional Projects. Lead with Confidence. Jason Smith Construction has been transforming homes throughout the Portland Metro area since 2003. We specialize in high-end residential remodeling, additions, and custom renovations for homeowners who expect exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding communication. Our business has been built almost entirely through referrals. We don't chase volume; we focus on quality. Every project is professionally managed, built with attention to detail, and backed by our industry-leading 10-Year Workmanship Warranty. We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Project Manager to help continue that tradition.

This Is Not an Entry-Level Position We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a project from preconstruction through completion with minimal oversight. You should be comfortable managing clients, subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, budgets, and field personnel while maintaining a high standard of quality and communication throughout the project.

Extensive Buildertrend experience is required. This position relies heavily on Buildertrend for scheduling, client communication, daily logs, selections, change orders, purchase orders, job costing, documentation, and overall project management. Applicants without significant Buildertrend experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple high-end residential remodeling projects simultaneously.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and rolling two-week look-ahead schedules.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and material deliveries.
Conduct regular jobsite meetings with clients and trade partners.
Maintain accurate job costing, purchase orders, change orders, and budgets.
Perform quality control inspections throughout construction.
Ensure jobsites remain organized, safe, and professionally managed.
Maintain complete Buildertrend documentation, including daily logs, schedules, photos, RFIs, selections, and client communications.
Work closely with field leadership to proactively solve problems and keep projects moving forward.
Deliver an exceptional client experience from start to finish.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of residential construction project management experience.
Extensive hands-on knowledge of residential remodeling and construction methods.
Advanced Buildertrend experience (Required).
Experience managing multiple active projects.
Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, budgeting, and job costing.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong leadership abilities and problem-solving skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
