East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Environmental Services Technician I to join our team. This position plays a vital role in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for performing daily housekeeping and sanitation duties throughout assigned clinic locations. This position helps maintain a clean and healthy environment by following infection control standards, organizational policies, and safety procedures while supporting quality patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform daily housekeeping duties throughout assigned clinic locations.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
Clean and sanitize exam rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, employee lounges, and common areas.
Wash windows, walls, furniture, and facility equipment.
Replenish housekeeping, restroom, and facility supplies.
Perform daily COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
Utilize electrostatic disinfectant sprayers for scheduled sanitization of designated areas.
Monitor exterior grounds and remove litter and debris.
Assist with receiving, unloading, storing, and organizing supplies.
Assist with inventory control and supply management.
Monitor and fulfill facility supply requests as assigned.
Report maintenance, safety, and fire hazards promptly.
Follow all infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational safety policies.
Maintain excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred; related experience may be substituted for education.
Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Dependable attendance and professional work ethic.
Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
Ability to work in a healthcare environment while maintaining infection prevention and safety standards.
