Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LSW/LAC/LCSW/LMFT/LPC) – Independent Contractor
Nurturing Life Counseling, LLC – Hoboken, NJ
Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Hybrid (In-Person + Telehealth)

About Us
Nurturing Life Counseling is a growing private group practice located in Hoboken, NJ. We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. Our practice is collaborative, values-driven, and culturally responsive. We are currently seeking LSWs, LACs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and LPCs to join our team as Independent Contractors.

Position Overview
We are hiring LSWs, LACs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and LPCs to provide psychotherapy services. LSWs and LACs will provide services under supervision. Independently licensed LCSWs, LMFTs, and LPCs may also have the opportunity to supervise LSWs or LACs.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role with flexible scheduling, including opportunities for evening and weekend hours. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, self-motivated, committed to providing excellent clinical care, and looking for a good amount of hours.

Responsibilities
Provide individual and/or couples therapy in person and via telehealth
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our EHR
Attend weekly clinical supervision until independently licensed
Collaborate with the practice owner and team on clinical and administrative matters
Commit to seeing clients in person at least one day per week at our Hoboken office
Participate in consultation, peer consultation, training, or team meetings remotely or in person that are PAID
Independently licensed LCSWs, LMFTs, and LPCs to provide supervision to LSWs or LACs must qualify

What We Offer
Competitive compensation:
LSWs and LACs: $60–$70 per 60-minute session
LCSWs, LMFTs, and LPCs: $90–$110 per 60-minute session
Supervision rate for qualified independently licensed clinicians: $110–$150 per hour
60/40 revenue split for out-of-network clients, with the contractor retaining 60%

Qualifications
Active LSW, LAC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC license in the state of New Jersey
LSWs and LACs must be able to work under clinical supervision while working toward independent licensure
Independently licensed clinicians interested in supervising must meet New Jersey supervisory requirements
Malpractice insurance coverage with a minimum of $1 million/$3 million
Comfortable working independently in a hybrid model
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Passion for providing inclusive, culturally competent care

Preferred
Experience with adults, ADHD, couples, or anxiety and trauma populations

Experience with couples is a PLUS
Familiarity with CBT or trauma-informed approaches
Supervisory experience for independently licensed clinicians highly encouraged
