Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep/Grill Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to perfection, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and attention to safety standards will ensure that every dish served meets our high-quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
Cook menu items accurately according to recipes, food safety guidelines, and presentation standards.
Operate various kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, ovens, and food prep tools.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations by following strict cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures to uphold food safety standards.
Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients ahead of time and coordinating with kitchen staff for efficient meal production.
Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate food preparation and service flow during busy periods.
Prepare our in house made recipes and cook

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is ABSOLUTELY NEEDED- Minimum 2 years experience in fast paced restaurants
Prior Greek cuisine experience is a plus.
Must speak English & Spanish
Proven food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment demonstrating knowledge of food industry standards.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating commercial kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with safety standards in food production and food safety management practices.
Ability to follow recipes accurately while adhering to portion control guidelines.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff.
Knowledge of meal planning, catering processes, and culinary techniques is a plus.
