Full Job Description

Coordinator Placement Partnership Program (PPP)

This position requires a master’s degree in a human service-related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience working with at risk children and families with child welfare involvement. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree that have significant experience with dependency, crisis support, complex needs will be considered and require ChildNet approval. The Placement Partnership Program (PPP) Coordinator responds to the urgent need to support foster care youth’s preservation of their foster care placement and re-entry into the community from psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and detention centers. The program also helps to prevent youth, who come to the attention of ChildNet, from entering the foster care system by intervening in potential lockout situations. The PPP coordinator is responsible to provide mobile, in-home therapeutic crisis intervention services to children and families, create individualized plans of care for each client, and coordinate the supports needed to sustain the identified placements. PPP coordinators work in cooperation with Dependency Case Manager and/or Child Protective Investigator, if applicable, to monitor the progress of children and families receiving services and to assess the need for further intervention. The candidate must also possess knowledge in crisis intervention, family dynamics, childhood/adolescent development, community providers and resource network, DSM5. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong organization and time management skills. Bilingual, preferred, Spanish/Creole. A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance are required.
