Position Summary
The Elementary Learning Coach provides engaging, standards-aligned instruction while fostering academic excellence, leadership, and character development. Learning Coaches work with small groups of students, personalize instruction to meet individual needs, and partner with families to support student growth.
This position is ideal for educators who enjoy innovation, creativity, flexibility, and building strong relationships in a personalized learning environment.
Part-Time Learning Coach
Schedule
Monday–Thursday
8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Ideal for retired educators, homeschool educators, graduate students, substitute teachers, or professionals seeking a flexible teaching schedule.
Primary ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Student Learning
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
- Utilize differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Facilitate small-group instruction and individualized learning experiences.
- Integrate technology into daily instruction.
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication.
- Promote leadership, character development, and servant leadership through daily learning experiences.
Student Assessment
- Administer and analyze formative and summative assessments.
- Monitor student progress using multiple data sources.
- Develop and implement Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs).
- Maintain accurate academic records and student portfolios.
- Provide timely feedback to students and families.
Classroom Environment
- Establish a positive, safe, and engaging classroom culture.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Create organized, welcoming learning spaces.
- Promote student responsibility, independence, and collaboration.
Family Partnerships
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
- Communicate regularly regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in conferences, family engagement events, and school programs.
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support school events and community engagement activities.
- Model Christian values and ethical leadership.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Passion for personalized learning
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Florida Teaching Certificate
- Elementary teaching experience
- Experience teaching in small-group settings
- Reading intervention or structured literacy experience
- Knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards
- Experience with project-based learning
- Familiarity with educational technology
