Job SummaryAs the CFO of Multifamily Funds, you will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, overseeing all financial management, capital allocation, and fiscal operations for our fund portfolio. You will drive sustainable growth, optimize investor returns, and ensure our fund structures align with our overarching mission: to Believe in More and create meaningful, real-world impact.
In this role, you will lead fund accounting, investor relations support, risk management, capital deployment, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in private equity real estate, multifamily fund mechanics, and corporate finance, along with an energetic approach to building a mission-aligned, forward-thinking organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Fund Management & Capital Allocation

Drive Strategic Growth: Formulate and execute financial strategies for existing and future multifamily funds, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and impact goals.
Capital Markets & Fundraising: Partner with leadership to support fund raising, capital calls, distributions, debt sourcing, and banking relationships across all multifamily assets.
M&A & Portfolio Expansion: Oversee underwriting, financial due diligence, valuation assessments, and deal structuring for prospective multifamily acquisitions and fund expansion.

Financial Operations, Accounting & Reporting

Fund Accounting & GAAP: Lead all fund and asset-level accounting, ensuring strict compliance with GAAP, tax structures, and real estate investment regulations.
Investor & Regulatory Reporting: Oversee high-level reporting processes, delivering transparent financial statements, profit & loss analysis, and fund performance metrics (IRR, Equity Multiple, NOI) to executive leadership and investors.
Budgeting & Cash Flow Optimization: Direct forecasting, liquidity management, treasury functions, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning across the portfolio to maximize profitability and asset value.

Risk Management, Governance & Impact

Risk & Compliance Oversight: Establish robust internal controls, risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO standards), and compliance programs tailored to real estate funds.
Mission-Driven Impact: Integrate corporate social responsibility and impact-focused metrics into financial modeling and performance tracking—proving that superior financial returns and positive community impact go hand in hand.

Leadership & Team Development

Build & Mentor: Lead and inspire a high-performing finance and fund accounting team, fostering a culture of innovation, fiscal responsibility, and continuous growth.

Experience & Qualifications

Executive Experience: Proven senior leadership experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Fund Accounting within real estate private equity, multifamily asset management, or real estate fund management.
Fund Mechanics Mastery: In-depth knowledge of fund structures, capital calls, waterfall distribution models, investor reporting, and real estate debt/equity structures.
Financial Modeling & Analytics: Strong capability in developing complex financial projection models, sensitivity analyses, and long-term valuation forecasts for multifamily assets.
Regulatory Expertise: Thorough understanding of GAAP, real estate tax strategies, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance relevant to investment funds.
Impact & Culture Fit: Alignment with our "Believe in More" philosophy and a demonstrated passion for using financial leadership to generate positive social and community impact.
