Lead Line Cook (Full-Time) – Gallery Social (Newburgh, NY)

About Us:
Gallery Social is Newburgh’s premier indoor entertainment destination, offering an elevated experience with social games, billiards, darts, bowling, and a full-service bar and kitchen. We combine high-energy entertainment with quality food and exceptional hospitality.

Position Summary:
Gallery Social is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Line Cook to help drive kitchen operations and maintain high culinary standards . This role will work both Daytime and Evening shift based on need, with primary focus on evenings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support line cooks during service, ensuring efficient and organized kitchen operations
Prepare and execute menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation
Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation
Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring kitchen team members
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling in compliance with health regulations
Monitor inventory levels, prep needs, and communicate with management on ordering
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution
Assist with opening and closing duties, including prep, breakdown, and cleaning
Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workstation
Contribute ideas for menu improvements and specials when appropriate

Qualifications:

2+ years of line cook experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
Availability to work full-time, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen
Lift up to 50 lbs (food products, equipment, supplies)
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
