PCI II Certified QA Inspector

ZT Consulting Group, Inc. (ZTC) is currently seeking full-time PCI II Certified QA Inspector to join our team in Northern California area. Applications will be accepted on Indeed.

About ZT Consulting Group, Inc.
ZTC is an engineering consultant company that specializes in providing Quality Assurance & Source Inspection services. Our professional service supports Local Agencies on their highway and bridge construction projects. We have offices located in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. ZTC offers competitive salary and benefits (PTO, Health Insurance, 401K, Bonuses, Vehicle, etc.).

Responsibilities
ZTC is considering applicants for a Precast Concrete Inspector position responsible for performing Quality Assurance, Source Inspection, and Material Sampling duties and functions for infrastructure projects containing elements such as girder, piles, MSE panels, and various items included in bridges, highways, buildings, rail-stations, airports, etc. Inspector will perform inspection and generate detailed reports, working with task lead or project manager. Job requires travel (within State, out of State, or out of Country) to fabrication site or perform inspections at project site. Travel cost is covered by ZTC.

Minimum qualifications:

Precast Concrete Institute Level 2 (PCI II) required
Experience in Industry preferred
High School diploma or GED

Job Duties:

Perform visual inspection on precast structures including: pre-pour, post-pour, witnessing pour, verifying equipment calibrations, and reviewing MTRs.
Understanding specifications, reading shop drawings, reviewing mix design & batch tickets, and using project specific documents to perform inspections.
Travel to various job sites and facilities throughout the year, providing exciting opportunities to explore different locations.
Perform inspections both indoors at a fabrication shop and outdoors, allowing you to gain experience in various work environments.
Benefit from the flexibility of having 2 to 4 days at home every 3 weeks to relax and recharge.
Be compensated hourly for travel time, ensuring that your time and dedication are valued.
Be encouraged to pursue and obtain additional certifications within 4-6 months of joining the team. The company will cover the costs of training and examination.
Maintain a stable 40-hour workweek throughout the year, with limited overtime opportunities available.
Conduct sampling and inspection of structural materials at different locations.
Prepare comprehensive reports and review relevant documents as needed.

Skills & Abilities:

Working knowledge of Word Processing and Spread Sheet
Ability to do daily or weekly travel to project sites or fabrication sites
Willingness to obtain new certifications such as CWI/NACE/etc. ZTC will provide training.
Proficient writing & communication skills

Not required but preferred:

Experience in industry of 5 years or more
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Teams, & Outlook
Working knowledge of Caltrans Specifications
Aggregate Sampling
NACE certification

Physical Demands & Work Conditions:

Employee is regularly required to talk or hear
Employee is frequently required to stand; sit, walk, reach and use arm and hands to perform inspection
Lifting, moving & carrying objects in excess of 50 pounds
Climbing & working off ladders, stairs, scaffolding, boom trucks, manlift, etc.
Working in indoor & outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat & cold and in & near industrial hazards
