Full Job Description

The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Human Resources is a 204-day position that will support the Director of Human Resources in providing the best possible services to all Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative (LPVEC) staff members by administering the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Office in compliance with LPVEC policies and State and Federal regulations and laws. The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Human Resources will provide administrative support, contribute to departmental development, maintain a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), assist with employee relations, conduct onboarding for new and returning employees, aid in the training and development of staff members, schedule interviews and meetings, and assist with other projects that provide daily support to the Human Resources Office.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. Must possess a background in business office operations and clerical skills.2. Demonstrates proficiency with electronic office automation equipment.3.

Demonstrates proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and document automation software.4. Proficient in organizational skills, flexible, collaborative, and amiable.5. Must have excellent telephone etiquette and be able to handle difficult calls appropriately.6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a proven ability to communicate effectively with staff, families, and students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.7.

Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills, including the ability to triage and prioritize competing needs.8. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment.9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Directors may find appropriate and acceptable.
