Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Welder / Ironworker / Fabricator to join our team. This position includes both shop fabrication and field installation on commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities:
Shop Fabrication
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Fabricate structural steel, stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metals.
- Fit, tack, and weld components using MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drill presses, ironworkers, grinders, and other shop tools.
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Field Work
- Assist with structural steel erection.
- Install bar joists and metal decking.
- Perform field welding.
- Bolt-up, align, and install structural members.
- Assist with rigging and crane picks.
- Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of structural steel fabrication or erection experience preferred.
- Ability to read structural blueprints.
- Proficient in MIG and Stick welding (Flux Core experience preferred).
- Ability to work at heights.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to safely operate company trucks and vehicles.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to drive commercial vehicles.
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, or other construction equipment is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Compensation
Hourly pay is based on experience and qualifications.
Overtime opportunities may be available.
Schedule
Schedules vary depending on project requirements.
- Monday-Friday
- Overtime as needed
- Occasional weekend work
- Travel throughout WV, MD, PA, NJ & DE
- Overnight travel may occasionally be required

Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 lbs.

Preferred Skills
- AWS welding certifications.
- Experience with structural steel erection on commercial or industrial projects.
- Rigging and signaling experience.
- Experience operating aerial lifts and telehandlers.
- Familiarity with crane operations.
- Ability to accurately use layout, measuring, and fabrication tools.
- Experience with oxy-fuel cutting and plasma cutting.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
