Job Overview
HomeGrown Pizza is looking an energetic line / pantry cook to join our team. You will prepare ingredients, organize and stock pantry stations, and assemble salads, sandwiches and appetizers. We are looking for someone detail-oriented who takes pride in putting out a quality, good-looking product consistently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assemble components for daily menu items, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met.
Support meal preparation by chopping, slicing, mixing, and measuring ingredients efficiently.
Ensure proper storage of food items, rotating stock and monitoring expiration dates to minimize waste.
Prepare and cook fried foods with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Assemble fresh salads according to menu specifications, maintaining freshness and appealing appearance.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Maintain proper food handling procedures during preparation, cooking, and serving to prevent cross-contamination.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times.
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and served promptly to maximize flavor and freshness.

Skills

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
Knowledge of food safety practices, handling procedures, and sanitation standards is essential.
Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly is highly desirable.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
