Compass Concierge and Companions is a locally owned home care provider serving older adults throughout Southern Maine. We provide personalized, non-medical support that helps seniors remain safe, independent, and engaged in the place they call home.
Our services include companionship, personal care assistance, dementia support, respite care, transportation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and supplemental support within assisted living and memory care communities. We work closely with clients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to create individualized care solutions that enhance quality of life and provide peace of mind.
With a growing team of compassionate caregivers and care professionals, Compass is committed to delivering exceptional service while building meaningful relationships with the seniors and families we serve.
Compass Concierge and Companions is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and compassionate Scheduler to support our growing home care agency. This position is primarily based in our Windham office and plays a key role in ensuring clients receive consistent, high-quality care while supporting our team of caregivers throughout Southern Maine.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and understands that client care needs do not always occur during traditional business hours.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage caregiver schedules to ensure seamless client coverage.
- Respond to schedule changes, call-outs, and urgent staffing needs.
- Communicate regularly with clients, families, caregivers, and community partners.
- Assist with caregiver onboarding, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Occasionally travel throughout Southern Maine to visit clients, caregivers, and community partners as needed.
- Support after-hours and weekend scheduling needs on a rotating or as-needed basis.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling last-minute changes.
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Southern Maine when necessary.
- Experience in home care, healthcare, senior services, or human services preferred.
Work Schedule & Flexibility
While this position is based in our Windham office, we offer flexibility in scheduling and understand that work-life balance is important. However, because we provide services seven days a week, candidates must be willing to:
- Be available outside of traditional business hours when urgent client or staffing needs arise.
- Occasionally respond to evening, weekend, or early-morning scheduling issues.
- Adapt their schedule as needed to support client care and agency operations.
