Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Director to lead our nursing team with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care environments. Your leadership will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and promote resident-centered care. The Nurse Director will serve as a key driver in managing nursing operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives while advancing your leadership career in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all nursing activities across multiple care settings, ensuring seamless delivery of quality care aligned with regulatory standards such as Medicare and HIPAA.
Supervise nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to foster professional growth.
Develop, review, and update individualized care plans for residents or patients, ensuring they meet medical needs and comply with state and federal regulations.
Oversee documentation review processes within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of medical records.
Monitor shift management to optimize staffing levels, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure adequate coverage during all hours of operation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans that incorporate physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology for comprehensive resident support.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare laws including HIPAA regulations while maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy and data security.
Manage administrative duties related to nursing operations such as scheduling, resource allocation, and adherence to documentation standards for medical records.
Stay current with industry trends related to assisted living, hospice care, home health services, and Medicare policies to implement best practices within the organization.

Qualifications

Proven experience in nursing home management or leadership roles within assisted living or acute care environments.
Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience in fast-paced healthcare settings.
Extensive knowledge of EMR systems and EHR systems for accurate documentation review and medical records management.
Familiarity with Medicare regulations, hospice care protocols, home health services, and associated compliance standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
Excellent understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the development of effective care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs.
Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high-quality resident care standards.
