New York Bonanza Cannabis Sales Representative

At Bonanza Cannabis, we are seeking a high-performing Sales Representative to drive growth of the Bonanza Cannabis portfolio throughout the New York market. This individual will be responsible for developing new business, expanding our retail presence, and building strong, long-term relationships with dispensary partners across an assigned territory within New York.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-driven salesperson who understands how to build a territory, generate new opportunities, develop relationships, and close business. Experience and established relationships within the New York cannabis industry are strongly preferred, particularly with dispensary owners, buyers, purchasing managers, and other key decision-makers.

This role requires someone who is comfortable spending significant time in the market, prospecting aggressively, conducting in-person meetings and presentations, and developing relationships from initial introduction through ongoing account growth. Territory scope may range from a concentrated metropolitan market to broader statewide responsibility depending on business needs and the experience and capabilities of the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be personable, credible, organized, competitive, and accountable for delivering measurable sales results.

Objectives of this Role

Represent Bonanza Cannabis products and services with a deep understanding of our portfolio, competitive positioning, customer needs, and the New York cannabis market
Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals through disciplined territory management, new account acquisition, and growth of existing customers
Generate new business opportunities and build strong relationships with dispensary owners, buyers, purchasing managers, and other key decision-makers
Develop and execute a territory action plan that prioritizes the highest-value opportunities, identifies areas for growth, and adapts based on market data and sales performance
Expand Bonanza's retail presence and establish the brand as a trusted partner throughout the assigned New York territory

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Conduct regular in-person visits to dispensaries and prospective accounts throughout the assigned New York territory
Prospect consistently through in-person outreach, phone calls, email, referrals, networking, and industry relationships
Develop strong working relationships with new and existing accounts to provide exceptional service, identify growth opportunities, and build long-term partnerships
Identify and qualify prospective accounts, secure meetings with decision-makers, deliver effective sales presentations, and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Bonanza products, competitive offerings, market trends, and customer needs to effectively communicate our value proposition and overcome objections
Achieve sales goals by identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate products, negotiating effectively, and consistently advancing opportunities toward close
Grow existing accounts through regular engagement, relationship development, product education, and identification of opportunities to increase distribution and sell-through
Maintain an active pipeline of new business opportunities and provide accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting information through the company's CRM
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, product trends, customer feedback, and broader market developments and communicate relevant insights to sales leadership
Maintain ownership of new and existing accounts by developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders at each customer
Coordinate customer orders and ensure accurate, timely communication throughout the ordering process
Work closely with production, distribution, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure customer needs are met and market opportunities are supported

Skills and Qualifications

Must be 21 or older
Must be eligible for MED Badge
3-5 years of successful outside sales, business development, or territory sales experience
Demonstrated ability to generate new business, develop relationships, negotiate effectively, and close sales
Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a highly accountable, quota-driven sales environment
Ability to independently manage a territory, prioritize opportunities, and maintain a consistent prospecting cadence
Proficiency with CRM and sales management software
High degree of personal integrity, professionalism, initiative, and accountability
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
Must be comfortable spending significant time in the field meeting with prospective and existing customers

Preferred Qualifications

Existing relationships with New York cannabis dispensaries, buyers, purchasing managers, owners, or other industry decision-makers
Direct sales experience within the regulated cannabis industry, particularly in the New York market
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and successfully developing new territories or markets
Experience introducing and growing consumer brands within a competitive retail environment
Ability to balance persistence and persuasion with professionalism and strong relationship-building skills
Strong organizational skills and disciplined use of CRM, pipeline management, and sales forecasting tools
Bachelor’s degree preferred
