THE ROLE:

As a Food Runner at Park Hyatt Chicago, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by efficiently delivering food from the kitchen to guests. You will verify the accuracy of orders, maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with both front-of-house and kitchen staff to uphold our high standards of service and hospitality.

WAGE INFORMATION:

The hourly rate for this position is $26.50. This position is also eligible to earn overtime and premium pay under certain circumstances.

Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in a luxury or high-end restaurant environment.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure order accuracy and maintain high standards of presentation.
Customer Service: Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional service and addressing guest needs promptly.
Physical Stamina: Capability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying moderate amount of weight and standing for extended periods.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.
Professionalism: Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, reflecting the high standards of the Park Hyatt Chicago.
Availability: Flexibility to work all shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to meet the needs of our guests and the business.
