Full Job Description

Our client, an established credit union in the Springfield, MA area, is seeking a motivated Universal Banker who is passionate about delivering outstanding member service while helping grow member relationships and the branch's success. You will have the opportunity to work directly with members, recommend solutions that meet their financial needs, and develop skills that can lead to future career advancement.

What You'll Do

Provide exceptional service to members through accurate and professional transaction processing.
Open new accounts and assist members with account maintenance requests.
Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, and other teller transactions.
Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through credit union products and services.
Meet or exceed referral and sales goals for consumer and business relationships.
Participate in branch calling efforts and regularly contact prospects.
Build community and professional relationships that support the credit union.
Maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Process incoming and outgoing cash shipments accurately.
Complete assigned reports and operational duties accurately and on time.
Track and maintain accurate sales activity records.
Handle member account maintenance requests and statement reconciliation concerns.
Escalate member issues to management when appropriate.
Recommend process improvements that enhance the member experience.

What You'll Bring

High school diploma.
Strong commitment to delivering exceptional member service.
Knowledge of teller and member service operations and procedures.
Understanding of account opening and account servicing processes.
Basic knowledge of banking/credit union operations.
Understanding of loans, IRA procedures, and certificate products.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
Sound decision making and problem solving abilities.
Business acumen and member focused mindset.

This is an on-site role in either Ludlow, MA or Wilbraham, MA. The salary range is $23-25/ hr depending on experience.
