Full Job Description

Job Overview

CMIC CMO USA is seeking an Associate Project Manager with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, contract manufacturing (CDMO), or a regulated life sciences environment. This role serves as the primary coordinator between pharmaceutical clients and internal departments to ensure successful execution of oral solid dose manufacturing and packaging projects from project initiation through commercial delivery. Candidates without pharmaceutical manufacturing, CDMO, or FDA-regulated industry experience will not be considered.

Duties

Independently managing small- to medium-sized projects while supporting larger and more complex programs as assigned.
Coordinating and supporting cross-functional project activities throughout the project lifecycle, tracking deliverables, action items, milestones, and timelines to ensure successful project execution and alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, providing timely communication of project status, risks, issues, milestones, and other project-related information.
Collaborating with Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and other stakeholders to support project objectives and deliverables.
Identifying project risks, challenges, and potential delays and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
Supporting project financial activities, including revenue forecasting, invoicing coordination, budget tracking, and change management, as applicable.
Preparing and maintaining project documentation, meeting minutes, action item logs, project schedules, and status reports.
Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of oral solid dose manufacturing processes, packaging technologies, and services offered by CMIC CMO USA.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, SOPs, cGMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Technical Skills

Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and project tracking tools.
Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and assist in developing practical solutions to support project objectives.
Maintain positive customer relationships through responsive communication and proactive follow-up.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
Basic understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, action item tracking, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.
Familiarity with cGMPs.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical, Biological, Chemical sciences, Life Sciences, Business, Project Management or a related field required.

Experience:

Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience in project coordination, project management, pharmaceutical manufacturing, contract development and manufacturing (CDMO), or a related industry.
Experience supporting FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams supporting manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and operations.
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred but not required.

Candidates with experience limited to IT, software development, construction, marketing, telecommunications, banking, or other non-regulated industries are not a fit for this position.

Mental & Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform basic math and reasoning functions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to enter manufacturing and lab areas wearing appropriate PPE.
Visual requirements include the ability to read documents and view computer screens.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
