Bookkeeper / Administrative AssistantJoin the House of Carts Team

House of Carts is growing, and we're looking for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to help keep our business running smoothly. This position plays a critical role in our daily operations by managing our financial records, supporting our leadership team, and helping create an exceptional experience for our customers.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks. We're looking for someone who understands bookkeeping inside and out, enjoys keeping accurate financial records, and takes pride in staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are entered correctly and on time.
Assist with monthly financial reporting and help maintain organized accounting records.
Answer incoming phone calls professionally and provide outstanding customer service.
Greet customers and vendors while creating a welcoming front office environment.
Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems.
Assist with scheduling, calendar management, office supplies, and other administrative duties.
Perform accurate data entry and maintain spreadsheets and reports.
Assist with document preparation, proofreading, and general office support.
Work closely with leadership to improve office efficiency and support day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required. Experience with daily bookkeeping functions is essential.
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
Experience with bank reconciliations, invoicing, and financial record management.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, dependable, and self-motivated.
Customer service or front office experience is a plus.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
