Full Job Description

SUMMARY

The EAP Team Support Manager plays a critical role in sustaining a healthy, mission-driven work environment by supporting staff performance, operational consistency, and growth. This position provides direct supervision to program staff, ensuring they feel supported as they grow and align with job expectations, while uploading organizational policies and performance standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Exemplify the elements of SVdP: Spirituality, Friendship and Service in all phases of work.
Advance the mission, goals and objectives in all applicable strategic plans.
Support / Live / Adhere to the “Rule” and teachings set forth by Frederic Ozanam
Ability to work well with others.

Staff Support, Coaching and Performance

Provide day-to-day supervision and coaching to staff, fostering clarity, confidence, and accountability
Conduct regular check-ins to support learning, performance improvement, and professional growth
Address interpersonal challenges with tact, neutrality, and emotional intelligence
Create a friendly environment where expectations are clear and staff feel supported in meeting them
Monitor workplace expectations to ensure alignment with organizational policies.
Address attendance or performance concerns early, consistently and compassionately.
Support fair and consistent application of performance standards across the team.
Hold staff accountable to Key Performance Indicators to meet stringent funder requirements.
Contribute to building a strong leadership culture by mentoring and modeling effective communication, shared responsibility and continuous improvement mindset.
Support, hiring, onboarding, training, and discipline of staff.

Operational Support

Support daily operations by identifying capacity challenges, workflow barriers, or patterns impacting performance
Help prioritize work and reduce friction so staff can focus on quality service delivery
Serve as the primary point of contact for staff questions related to expectations and day-to-day concerns
Help to create, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for the department as decisions are made internally or at the state level.
Steps in to perform essential front-line or administrative tasks when staffing gaps occur, ensuring uninterrupted, timely service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree required.
2+ years of supervisory or people-management experience.
Demonstrated ability to follow policy while building trust and maintaining strong working relationships.
Experience working in nonprofit, human services or mission-driven environments.
Skilled at partnering with HR on performance management, employee motivation and/or corrective action.
Advanced technical skills and the ability to learn proprietary software quickly. Intermediate-level Excel skills required; Experience managing datasets and reporting qualitative and quantitative data.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret general business manuals and periodicals. Ability to write clear and concise policies, routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees, customers, vendors, fellow community assistance managers, and program recipients. Strong communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Advanced mathematical skills to perform complex mathematical calculations required for computing Key Performance Indicators and forecasting.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Strong organizational skills, efficient and detail oriented. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability. Possess an aptitude to exercise good judgement.

The work environment is a general office environment. The noise level is quiet to moderate. Occasional driving is required for this job due to offsite meetings and/or trainings.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
