Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (NOC shift), where your expertise will drive exceptional patient care during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing services across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes for our patients. Your critical thinking and compassionate approach will be essential in delivering high-quality care during the night shift, supporting our commitment to 24/7 excellence in healthcare delivery.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform care plans.
Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques.
Monitor patients’ conditions using telemetry and other EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, documenting all observations meticulously.
Manage airway support with ventilator care and assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, and specimen collection.
Provide acute pain management and respond swiftly to emergent situations like trauma or cardiac events, utilizing critical care skills.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and case management efforts.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain precise medical documentation in accordance with hospital standards.

Requirements

Valid RN license with current registration to practice nursing in the relevant jurisdiction.
Extensive experience working in hospital environments such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), trauma centers, or emergency rooms.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and patient record management.
Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including ventilator management, IV insertion, and infection control practices.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and CPT coding for billing purposes.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
Ability to perform under pressure during urgent situations such as Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma experience scenarios.
