Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere by managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Duties

Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest services
Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations, inquiries, and waitlist management
Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth seating transitions
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff to coordinate guest seating and special requests
Handle guest inquiries promptly, addressing concerns or special needs with professionalism and courtesy
Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess area

Experience

Prior experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment is preferred
Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and guest relations
Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as OpenTable, Resy, or similar systems
Experience with Toast POS
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures
