Citizenship, residency or work visa require.Schedule & Compensation: 12 months/full time (40 hours)Salary Range $70,000 - $78,000Benefits: Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceResponsibilities: Support Education Director and Special Education Coordinator in operation of the Education department, including but not limited to processing IEPs, progress reports, transcripts, grade reports, MCAS score reports, and other education records, and scheduling team meetingsManage the following IEP responsibilities: Create and maintain schedule for meetings by consulting with parents, district liaisons, and Education Director/Special Education CoordinatorDevelop and maintain meeting schedule on master calendarBefore meeting, prepare IEP with cover and attendance pages and after meeting, make final editsMaintain and track approved IEP signature pagesMaintain electronic file system of approved IEPsManage the following progress report responsibilities: Set up electronic and hard copy templates for teachers, as requestedFormat/edit progress report goals (four/year)Email final reports to familiesAdd new students to database and enter information for new and returning students in student database for IEP cycle, meeting dates, SPED/liaison assignment, grade assignments, SASID and LASID numbers and summer program enrollmentAssist with DESE compliance and other projectsFile all educational materials in student master filesProvide support/backup for front office staff when indicatedProvide assistance regarding requests from Head Teachers regarding IEPs, Progress reports and meeting scheduleMaintain Addendum Binder of testing accommodations for staffDevelop and maintain a manual of responsibilities and procedures for this positionRemain up to date (daily checks) with all internal email and voicemail messagesHelp maintain a safe, positive work and learning environment for all by adhering to the principles of conduct described in Giffords policy manuals and by treating all Gifford community members with fairness and respectDemonstrate respect for diversity among our staff and student body and promote an atmosphere which values this diversityUnderstand and represent Giffords culture and mission to students, families and othersWithin the context of your position at Gifford and as the job evolves, be open to new ideas, opportunities and responsibilities assigned by your supervisor and/or the Executive DirectorPhysical RequirementsAbility to participate in outdoor physical activities to include kneeling, stooping and lifting up to 25 poundsPlease submit a cover letter and resume to
