RESUMEN DE LA POSICIÓN:
El Asistente Médico – Especialista de Clínica es responsable de una variedad de funciones relacionadas con la atención al paciente, tareas técnicas y administrativas.
DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES:
Las responsabilidades incluyen, pero no se limitan a:

Verificar la información del paciente mediante entrevistas; registrar el historial médico y confirmar el motivo de la visita.

Asegurar que todos los expedientes médicos y registros de los pacientes contengan la documentación necesaria para las citas médicas.
-
Asistir a los especialistas durante las consultas y/o procedimientos.
-
Tomar y documentar los signos vitales (por ejemplo, temperatura, presión arterial, respiración) y realizar mediciones (como estatura, peso, etc.).
-
Mantener las salas de examen abastecidas con suministros médicos adecuados, conservar los instrumentos y preparar la esterilización.
-
Programar y verificar citas, estudios y pruebas de laboratorio, así como obtener y verificar autorizaciones.
-
Disponibilidad para trasladarse a todas las instalaciones según los requerimientos operativos.

Cumplir y adherirse a las políticas, procedimientos y lineamientos establecidos.
-
Asegurar el cumplimiento de HIPAA y OSHA.
-
Desempeñar otras funciones según se le asignen.
CALIFICACIONES:
-
Diploma de escuela secundaria o certificado equivalente.
-
Certificado de Asistente Médico de una institución acreditada.
-
Certificación en RCP.
-
Al menos un (1) año de experiencia en atención primaria o práctica de medicina interna.
-
Excelentes habilidades de servicio al cliente y comunicación.
-
Actitud positiva y entusiasmo.
-
Debe poseer sólidas habilidades organizativas e interpersonales, atención al detalle y gestión del tiempo.
-
Disponibilidad para trabajar fines de semana, noches y días festivos según las necesidades operativas.
-
Ser bilingüe (inglés/español) es una ventaja.

Requirements:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant-Clinic Specialist is responsible for a variety of patient care, technical, and clerical related functions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Verify patient information by interviewing patients; record medical history; confirm purpose of visit.

Communicate all significant changes in patient conditions or behavior to physicians.
-
Ensure all medical record/patient charts contain necessary documentation for medical appointments.
- Assist the specialists during the consultation.
-
Perform and document vital signs (i.e., temperature, B/P, Resp.) and measure (i.e., height, weight, etc.).
-
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization.
-
Monitor patient’s hospitalization, walk-ins and daily calls.
-
Assist physician with simple procedures and collection of specimens to be sent to laboratory for results.
-
Schedule and verify appointments, studies, lab tests and obtain/verify authorizations.
-
Willingness to travel to all the facilities based on operational requirements.

Follow-up of patients who underwent a medical procedure. Its evolution should be documented.

Follow standard procedures, rules, and instructions to properly sanitize and utilize cleaning equipment.

Constant and effective communication with members of the team regarding consultations
-
Adhere and follow set policies, procedures and guidelines.
-
Ensure compliance with professional standards, relevant legal, regulatory and safety requirements of HIPAA and OSHA.

Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.
-
Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited institution.
-
CPR Certification.
-
At least one year of experience in primary care/internal medicine practice.
-
Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
-
Positive approach and enthusiasm.
-
Must exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and time management.
-
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by business operations.
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
