Compensation & Schedule

$25/hour base pay + performance bonuses.

This is a performance-driven optical position, and we believe strong performance should be rewarded. Achieving established optical targets can add $400+ per week, with strong performers earning substantially more based on optical sales and department performance.

Monday–Friday. No weekends.

Lifetime Vision & Eye Care is looking for a full-time Optician to take ownership of our patients' complete optical experience — from helping them select the right frames and lenses to ensuring their finished glasses are made correctly and delivered on time.

This isn't a position where you'll spend all day standing behind an optical counter.

You'll sell. You'll style. You'll measure. You'll order. You'll cut and edge. You'll troubleshoot. You'll work in the lab. And you'll own the process from beginning to end.

What You'll Do

Create an exceptional optical experience

You'll receive patients directly from the doctor, understand what they're trying to solve, and help translate those needs into eyewear they'll genuinely enjoy wearing.

That means asking great questions, styling frames, confidently recommending lens solutions, and helping patients make purchasing decisions without making the experience feel transactional.

Own the sale

We believe great selling is helping people make confident decisions about solutions that improve their lives.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable making recommendations and asking for the sale, and is willing to learn our approach to creating an exceptional optical experience.

Own the finished product

Your responsibility doesn't end when the patient pays.

You'll also:

Take accurate optical measurements
Order lenses and frames
Cut and edge most jobs in our in-house lab
Perform quality control
Dispense and adjust eyewear
Complete repairs
Troubleshoot optical problems
Handle remakes when necessary
Follow up with patients and outstanding orders
Help train and support our Optical Lab Assistant

Keep an incredibly organized lab

We already have an established lab workflow and tracking system.

Keeps the optical lab exceptionally organized

Communicates proactively when something needs attention
Takes ownership when a problem occurs and sees it through to resolution

Who We're Looking For

Previous optical experience is strongly preferred, but we're more interested in finding the right person than collecting credentials.

You may be a great fit if you:

Have strong sales experience
Enjoy working directly with people
Have experience with frame styling and eyewear recommendations
Have experience cutting and edging lenses
Are confident making recommendations rather than simply quoting prices
Are highly organized and detail-oriented
Can handle a fast-paced environment without losing your composure
Take ownership instead of waiting for someone else to solve problems
Are coachable and open to learning new ways of doing things
Enjoy being part of a team
Take pride in both the patient-facing and behind-the-scenes parts of optical

Optician licensure is not required.

Spanish or Haitian Creole is a plus.
