POSITION SUMMARY

The Events Manager will be responsible for end-to-end solicitation and management of all private events at Half Full Brewery locations and any off-site catered events. This includes:

Sourcing & converting event leads into booked events utilizing the TripleSeat Event software.
Manage all client communications relating to the production of events on a daily basis, ensuring the highest quality experience for clients is consistently delivered
Hands on management & execution of events leading up to, and including day of event management
Manage all internal communications relating to the production of events, while meeting weekly deadlines for completion of food, beverage, equipment and rental equipment orders
Communicate with client regarding menus, event floorplans, timelines, insurance, permitting, and rental equipment requirements
Arrange for and attend planning site visits, walk-throughs and tastings as needed
Create Event Orders that include Staff, Beverage, Catering, Alcohol, Equipment and Disposable Orders and Invoices
Lead weekly Event Order review meetings to review menus, logistics, special requests, VIPs and provide greater context for upcoming events alongside the President and General Manager
Oversee event set-up and service day of as needed
Manage staff on the floor during events
Manage Housepersons on the floor during events/monitor Housepersons' cleaning lists
Collaborate directly with the General Manager on public and private events to create smooth operational efficiencies
Oversee completion and sending of invoices and allocations to Accounting Department
Attending & hosting local and regional event conferences and expos to source leads and partner with local vendors
Cultivating, managing and growing relationships with local corporate partners

A passion for community and collaboration as well as an optimistic demeanor are paramount to this position. This is a full time, salaried position that will require daytime, evening & weekend availability.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL:

2-3 years experience in catering or event management
Pre-existing customer base in lower Fairfield County a plus
Experience with TripleSeat software a plus
1-2 years of Event or Banquet sales experience
Be able to manage multiple guests and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism and with a sense or urgency
Be able to lift or carry up to 50lbs
Be 21+ and have the ability to work around alcohol without abusing it
Have a passion for creating a world class customer experience

COMPENSATION:

Base salary (DOE) with sales commission
