Full Job Description

Job Summary

Ginza Japanese Cuisine is looking for a reliable and motivated Sushi Bar Helper to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced sushi chefs, learn Japanese culinary techniques, and build your skills in a fast-paced environment. We are willing to train the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities

Assist sushi chefs with daily prep (chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and making rice).
Keep the sushi bar clean, sanitary, and well-organized throughout shifts.
Assist with plating, garnishing, and preparing simple items/appetizers as instructed.
Monitor prep inventory and restock workstations as needed.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

Experience: Some basic kitchen or prep cook experience required.
Training Provided: Prior sushi experience is a plus, but we will train anyone with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn!
Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling safety.
Strong attention to detail, speed, and clean working habits.
Ability to work on your feet for long shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
