Primary Responsibilities

Erect, bolt, connect, align, and weld structural steel components safely and accurately.
Install steel columns, beams, frames, decking, and other construction materials according to blueprints and specifications.
Install handrails, stairs, ladders, catwalks, and related structural components.
Erect precast concrete panels.
Position, align, and secure structural steel members.
Assist with rigging and hoisting operations.
Communicate effectively with crane operators and equipment operators using hand signals, radios, and voice commands.
Attach cables and rigging equipment to steel members and cranes.
Tighten cables with jacking equipment and hoist steel into place.
Position steel using connecting bars, spud wrenches, drift pins, and alignment tools.
Read and follow construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Use plumb bobs, levels, laser equipment, and other measuring tools to ensure proper alignment.
Inspect work for quality and proper fit.
Make repairs and adjustments as necessary.
Follow all safety rules, procedures, and company policies.
Wear required PPE at all times.
Maintain situational awareness around suspended loads, moving equipment, and changing work conditions.
Keep tools and equipment clean, maintained, and accounted for.
Report damaged, malfunctioning, or missing tools immediately.
Flexibility to travel with crews to project locations, including Missouri, Northwest Arkansas, Eastern Kansas, and Eastern Oklahoma.
Typically, home on weekends, weather and project conditions permitting.
Keep all tools and equipment clean, functional, and stored properly.
Inspect equipment regularly for safety and functionality.
Report damaged or missing tools immediately.
Avoid misuse, abuse, or loss of company tools and equipment.
Demonstrate responsibility and care for company assets.

This position requires exceptional physical capability, endurance, coordination, and the ability to work safely in demanding construction environments.
Work outdoors for 12-14 hours per day in hot, cold, windy, wet, and changing weather conditions.
Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and structural steel at significant heights.
Maintain balance and coordination while working on narrow beams, decking, and unfinished structures.
Lift, carry, drag, and position materials exceeding 100 pounds.
Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds overhead.
Perform sustained moderate-to-strenuous physical activity throughout the workday.
Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
Maintain firm grip strength and manual dexterity when operating tools and handling materials.
Accurately judge distances and hazards while working at elevation.
Hear verbal instructions, alarms, warning signals, and safety calls in noisy work environments.
