Kitchen Manager

Chip Shots Golf & Whiskey Bar | Wing Park Golf Course | Elgin, IL

Chip Shots Golf & Whiskey Bar is seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our prep kitchen and permanent onsite gourmet food truck. This is a working leadership position responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations while ensuring every guest receives fresh, high-quality food and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is an organized leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coaching a team, and takes pride in maintaining high culinary and sanitation standards. This position reports directly to ownership and plays a key role in the continued growth and success of our food program.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily kitchen operations.
Work alongside the kitchen team during food service.
Schedule and train kitchen staff.
Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
Order food, monitor inventory, and control food costs.
Minimize waste and maintain proper product rotation.
Ensure compliance with all health department and food safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
Collaborate with ownership on seasonal features and menu improvements.
Assist with catering, tournaments, and special events.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of kitchen leadership or management experience.
Strong line cooking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with inventory management, ordering, scheduling, and food cost control.
ServSafe Food Manager Certification
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Reliable, organized, and self-motivated.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Schedule

Full-Time (32–40 hours per week)
Open availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
Additional hours may be available during tournaments, private events, and peak golf season.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting at $21.00 per hour + tips, based on experience.
