Full Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: Hanover Park, IL 60133
Salary Range: $55k - $60k per annum
Signing bonus:
$5,000 after completion of first 90 days
$5,000 after completion of first 180 days
Position Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Second Shift. Work Hours are 2:00 pm until finish.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations and support our growing distribution team in Chicago. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping operations, and workplace safety while driving productivity and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with warehouse supervisory experience, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Leadership

Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse associates to achieve operational goals and productivity targets.
Train, coach, and onboard new employees to ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Monitor workflow and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Partner closely with the Warehouse Manager to support operational planning and administrative functions.

Inventory & Quality Control

Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory control processes.
Monitor stock levels and warehouse organization to ensure efficient product flow.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Ensure products are stored, handled, and shipped according to company quality standards.

Safety & Compliance

Promote and maintain a culture of workplace safety.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, HACCP, and all applicable warehouse and transportation regulations.
Conduct routine safety inspections and reinforce best practices.
Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.

Performance Management

Track productivity, labor utilization, and operational costs.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.

Additional Responsibilities

Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties as needed to support business objectives and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Required Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Experience managing diverse workforces, including unionized employees, is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership, team-building, and employee development skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Workspace).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to push or pull up to 80 pounds.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions, including refrigerated and freezer environments.
Ability to work around moderate warehouse noise and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT

Compensation for roles at Suna Solutions varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.
