Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Shift Manager, where you will lead daily operations in a fast-paced, quick service and casual dining environment. This role is perfect for energetic, detail-oriented leaders who thrive on delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring smooth restaurant functioning. As a Shift Manager, you will oversee food preparation, manage staff, handle cash and POS transactions, and maintain food safety standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere while driving operational excellence and team success.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring efficient food production and service delivery.
Lead and motivate team members, providing training, coaching, and development to foster a high-performance environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and safety regulations.
Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and assist with ordering supplies to prevent shortages or waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and health regulations across all areas of the restaurant.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
Assist in interviewing potential staff members and participate in staff training & development initiatives.
Support restaurant management with budgeting, food management, and overall operational planning as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service or casual dining environments.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS; cash handling skills are essential.
Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
Familiarity with inventory control, food handling procedures, and kitchen management principles.
Ability to train staff effectively and support their ongoing development.
