Full Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Youth Mentor - Part Time/Full Time - Female Only

Location: Cincinnati Ohio 4239 (Monfort Heights)
Compensation: $18
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
Employment Type: Part-Time to Full Time
Available Shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Sunday 4p-11p (cover call offs)

We have a DSP House Manager position available with a female client in her mid-to-late 50s located in the Monfort Heights area (Cincinnati, OH 45239). This position is for female staff only.

House Manager Schedule

Permanent Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday
4:00 PM–11:00 PM

Requirements:

Cover client-added shifts when no other staff are available.
Cover call-offs if replacement staff cannot be found.
Client requires 24/7 care, so open availability is required.

Please do not apply if you cannot maintain open availability.

Client Information:

The client is blind and requires assistance with:

Maintaining the home
Running errands (staff must have a vehicle)
Ensuring safety in the home (preventing trips/falls)
Serving as her “eyes” in daily activities
The client has sleep apnea (may stop breathing in her sleep).
The client has narcolepsy (may fall asleep randomly).
Prefers working with staff members who are 30 years and older.
Prior experience supporting individuals who are blind, or who have narcolepsy/sleep apnea, is highly preferred.

Position Overview:

True Providers, Inc. is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Youth Mentors. This role requires individuals who are committed to making a meaningful impact by providing high-quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide mentorship and structured guidance to youth in a professional and supportive manner.
Assist individuals in developing positive coping skills and managing conflicts effectively.
Collaborate with social workers, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those in our care.
Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to behavioral and educational goals.
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment to encourage personal growth.
Facilitate group activities and discussions to promote social and emotional development.
Monitor, document, and report behavioral and emotional progress accurately.

Additional Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality support and care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Provide companionship and professional guidance tailored to individual needs.
Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Maintain thorough and accurate daily documentation of client interactions and behaviors.
Provide transportation for clients to appointments and community outings as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Minimum of one year of experience working with youth or individuals with disabilities in a professional setting.
Strong understanding of child welfare, special education, and behavioral health principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, families, and professionals.
Ability to manage conflicts professionally and diffuse challenging situations.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and the ability to work with individuals with behavioral and emotional challenges.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the individuals served.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 35.0 per week
