Job Summary

No prior paralegal experience required

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IP Paralegal specializing in Patent and Trademark law to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support for intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark filings, prosecution, and maintenance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of intellectual property law within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, and a passion for supporting legal processes related to patents and trademarks.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications across various jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements.
Support trademark registration processes, including conducting clearance searches, preparing applications, and monitoring deadlines.
Manage patent and trademark portfolios by tracking renewal dates, maintenance fees, and other critical deadlines.
Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support patentability assessments and infringement analyses.
Maintain meticulous records of all IP-related documents using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw.
Coordinate communication with patent attorneys, agents, examiners, and clients to facilitate smooth prosecution workflows.
Review technical disclosures, prior art references, and legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
Support general legal administrative tasks including document review, filing procedures, client communication, and procedural law compliance.

Experience

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Excellent organizational skills paired with effective communication abilities for client interactions and internal collaboration.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
