Full Job Description

Full Time Primary Care Physician / Future Practice Partner

Location: Riverdale, NY

Primary Care Physician Responsibilities

An established and respected primary care practice in Riverdale, New York is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Provider to join the practice full-time. This is a unique opportunity for a physician who is interested not only in patient care but also in practice ownership. The current owner is planning retirement and is seeking a long-term partner to help transition and eventually assume leadership of the practice.

The incoming provider will benefit from an existing patient base, experienced staff, and a well-established reputation within the community.

Primary Care Physician Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and geriatric patients.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Conduct annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, and routine physical examinations.
Manage chronic diseases including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and other common conditions.
Develop and maintain strong patient relationships while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary providers as needed.
Participate in practice management discussions and strategic planning.

Primary Care Physician Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school (or NP/PA with significant primary care experience, if applicable).
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care specialty.
Active New York medical license or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Interest in long-term practice growth and future ownership opportunities preferred.

Competitive salary: $205,000–$250,000 annually (negotiable).
