Position Title: Regional Hardware Sales Representative

Job Description:

Jake Sales is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional to expand our presence within the construction, hardware, and wholesale industries in the Pacific Northwest (OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, & AL). This is a hybrid outside sales and business development role focused on relationships with B2B contractors, wholesalers, and distributors. If you enjoy connecting with contractors, identifying new business opportunities, and representing quality products that professionals rely on every day, we'd like to hear from you.

Our Sales Representative will prospect using construction lead networks, referrals, existing customers, and company-generated opportunities. Customers primarily include general contractors and trades contractors, property managers, hardware stores, farm and ranch stores, distributors, and purchasing managers. Jake Sales aims to build relationship-based business with repeat customers.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing, family-owned Montana company with nationwide customers. You'll begin with structured support, training, and hourly compensation before transitioning into a flexible, commission-driven role with significant earning potential based on your performance and the option for fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop new wholesales, contractor, and B2B business opportunities throughout your territory, and take over existing relationships as the primary contact.

- Build lasting relationships with contractors, retailers, distributors, and industry professionals.

- Prospect through provided construction lead networks and other sales resources to identify new opportunities.

- Follow up with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and occasional in-person visits.

o Travel is primarily local with monthly visits to our Kalispell headquarters during onboarding.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and sales activity in NetSuite.

- Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to improve sales strategies and customer experience.

- Maintain confidentiality of company information and customer data.

- Identify gaps and recommend opportunities to help drive company growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of outside or inside sales experience, preferably in construction, hardware, industrial, building materials, or related industries.

- Existing relationships within hardware, construction, or wholesale markets are beneficial.

- Knowledge of fasteners, construction hardware, and building requirements.

- Experience with B2B and wholesale sales.

- Comfortable learning technology, including CRM and ERP software such as NetSuite.

- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.

- Growth mindset with a desire to continually improve and contribute to company success.
