Full Job Description

Trinity Lutheran Church, a welcoming congregation of approximately 250 members in Western Michigan, is seeking a skilled and organized Parish Administrator to join our ministry team. This part-time role (20–25 hours/week) offers a meaningful opportunity to serve a faith community that values connection, care, and excellence in all it does.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare weekly worship bulletins and digital content, coordinating with worship leaders and musicians
Manage day-to-day office operations: phones, email, website, mail, and church records
Produce and distribute the weekly Trinity Tidings email newsletter
Manage church social media accounts and create engaging content for our congregation and community
Serve as primary administrator of our Breeze church management database (attendance, member records, reports)
Support visitor follow-up and congregational care in partnership with the pastor
Coordinate the building use calendar and assist with facility requests
Support the church’s Food Pantry through volunteer coordination and record-keeping
Assist with annual synod reporting and other special projects

What We’re Looking For:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Comfortable with social media platforms and digital content creation
Experience with or willingness to learn church management software (Breeze preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Experience in a church or nonprofit office setting preferred
Familiarity with Lutheran (ELCA) worship practices a plus
Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe, or similar) a plus
Must complete a background check and IRS I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
