Full Job Description

Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray / CT / MRI

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and well-rounded ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist to join our friendly outpatient imaging practice.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in general radiography and experience with CT and/or MRI. However, CT or MRI experience is not required for the right candidate. We are happy to provide cross-training in CT and MRI for a technologist who is eager to learn and expand their skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist looking for a long-term position in a comfortable, professional, and supportive environment. Our office is conveniently located and easily accessible, with a collegial, family-oriented atmosphere where employees are treated as valued members of the team.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while maintaining excellent patient care and safety.
Perform CT and MRI examinations based on experience and training.
Assist with and perform IV placement and contrast administration as appropriate.
Properly position patients and select appropriate imaging protocols to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
Verify patient information, clinical history, and examination orders before imaging.
Follow radiation safety, MRI safety, infection-control, and contrast-administration protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation of examinations and patient information.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, radiologists, referring physicians, and other staff.
Maintain imaging equipment and immediately report any technical or safety concerns.
Participate in cross-training in CT and/or MRI when appropriate.

Qualifications

ARRT certification required.
Current New York State radiologic technologist license.
Strong general X-ray skills and knowledge of anatomy and patient positioning.
CT and/or MRI experience is preferred but not required.
Candidates without CT or MRI experience must have an interest and willingness to cross-train.
IV insertion experience is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Dependable, professional, patient-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a team.
