JOB SUMMARY
The IT Manager will lead the operation, support, and continuous improvement of the plant’s IT infrastructure, business systems, cybersecurity, and endpoint services. This role serves as the primary IT leader for the site and partners closely with Division IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure stable operations, effective system integration, and ongoing digital transformation across the plant.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Systems Administration
· Manage daily operation, access control, performance tuning, workflow optimization, and data integration for key business systems, including OA, MES, WMS, PLM, and ERP platforms.
· Lead or support system upgrades, development initiatives, testing, documentation, training, and new module rollouts to ensure high-quality delivery on schedule.
· Partner with business teams to understand requirements, align systems with operational workflows, and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, traceability, and reporting capabilities.
· Support business system integration projects and ensure smooth data flow between plant, corporate, and division-level systems.
· Establish and maintain user roles, permissions, approval workflows, master data standards, and system support processes for key plant applications.
Infrastructure & Endpoint Management
· Oversee operation and maintenance of plant IT infrastructure, including cloud services, data center resources, servers, networks, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and related technology assets.
· Provide or coordinate hardware, software, network, and endpoint support for plant users to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
· Manage IT equipment procurement requests, acceptance, inventory, lifecycle tracking, software licensing, warranty tracking, and related IT expenditures.
· Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure reliable service delivery and timely resolution of technical issues.
· Maintain standards for device configuration, patching, endpoint protection, asset control, and preventive maintenance across the site.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
· Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, access controls, endpoint protection, data protection practices, backup plans, and disaster recovery procedures.
· Monitor and strengthen plant cybersecurity defenses against malware, unauthorized access, network attacks, phishing, data leakage, and operational technology risks.
· Ensure compliance with Group and Division IT cybersecurity requirements and support audits, risk assessments, evidence collection, remediation planning, and corrective action plans.
· Apply relevant security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, TISAX, and applicable data protection or manufacturing IT requirements.
· Promote cybersecurity awareness by supporting user training, incident communication, and safe technology practices across the plant.
Project Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Lead IT projects using appropriate project management methods, including Agile, waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
· Drive digital workflow improvements and system enhancements that support manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, finance, HR, and administrative operations.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with plant leadership, business departments, Division IT, vendors, and technical teams to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions.
· Respond quickly to system failures and IT emergencies, coordinating root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term preventive measures.
· Develop project plans, define milestones, manage risks, track progress, communicate status updates, and ensure successful implementation of IT initiatives.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
· Serve as the primary IT point of contact for the plant and communicate priorities, risks, outages, and improvement opportunities to site leadership.
· Coordinate workload, priorities, and support activities for internal IT staff, shared service teams, contractors, and third-party providers.
· Manage vendor relationships, service requests, support escalations, contracts, quotes, and performance expectations for IT products and services.
· Support annual IT budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and planning for technology refreshes, software renewals, infrastructure needs, and major projects.
· Create and maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures, support guides, inventory records, and knowledge base materials.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing or precision manufacturing environment.
· Hands-on experience implementing, supporting, or maintaining ERP, MES, WMS, PLM, OA, or similar enterprise and manufacturing systems.
· Strong knowledge of network administration, server administration, database management, endpoint support, cloud services, and IT infrastructure operations.
· Experience with system integration, workflow optimization, access control, cybersecurity defense, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
· Familiarity with ISO 27001, TISAX, or similar cybersecurity and information security standards.
· Strong project management, troubleshooting, communication, and decision-making skills.
· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting Oracle JDE or other ERP platforms in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience leading IT initiatives for plant operations, system rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, or digital transformation projects.
· Background working with production, warehouse, quality, engineering, or supply chain systems.
· Experience with MES, WMS, PLM, ERP, OA, or other manufacturing and enterprise business applications.
· Working knowledge of IT service management practices, including incident management, change management, asset management, and vendor management.
· Experience managing cybersecurity initiatives, audit readiness, risk mitigation, or compliance programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms, virtualization, database administration, network segmentation, endpoint management, and backup or disaster recovery solutions.
· Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar credentials are a plus.
· Bilingual communication skills are a plus, depending on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $125,000–$170,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and business needs. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, relevant manufacturing IT experience, and alignment with the responsibilities of the role.
