Shift: 1st shift 7am - 3:30pm
Wage Range: $30 -$35 per hour with three scheduled wage increases the first year.
Under moderate supervision of the department manager, responsible for creating programs for machining parts and tooling, creating set up documents, tool lists, machining instructions and maintaining all existing programs. This role will also be responsible for continuous improvements of all programs. Assisting operators with first article set-ups and tool proving will also be required. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Programmer- CNC and Lathe
Prepares operating programs on continuous path and point-to-point numerically controlled machinery
Creates set-up documents, tool lists, machining instructions
Maintains existing programs
Will implement continuous improvements of all programs
Prepares and checks programs, edits as necessary
Instructs machine operators in the use of equipment
Assists machinists with machining processes, programs, set-up, edits as needed and creates tooling.
Works with the Estimating Dept. to quote/ requote new and existing parts
