We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Grill Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team at LGC. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and passion, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Your energy and culinary expertise will contribute to creating a lively dining atmosphere, delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation, grilling, and kitchen operations to showcase their skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Assist with menu planning and recipe adherence to maintain flavor profiles and presentation standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food prep tools
Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
Handle food production tasks such as food handling, portioning, and plating with precision
Support dietary department needs by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements and restrictions
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and ensure all food safety management protocols are followed during food handling and cooking processes

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a food service environment is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal prep
Proven experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings demonstrating excellent knife skills and culinary expertise
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
Experience with catering or serving in large-scale food production environments is a plus
Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
