Full Job Description

Overview

We are hiring for our dynamic team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly at patients' homes, workplaces, or community sites. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection. As a key member of our mobile healthcare team, you will utilize your expertise in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures to support diagnostic testing and improve patient outcomes. Your dedication will help us reach diverse populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics, with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Duties

Perform blood sampling and specimen collection using venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other approved techniques, adhering to aseptic protocols.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of specimens according to laboratory standards to maintain sample integrity.
Collect vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe and comfortable procedures.
Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and demonstrating empathy during visits.
Maintain compliance with laboratory procedures, safety protocols, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications.
Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for equipment setup or specimen transport, always following safety guidelines.

Requirements

Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or medical laboratory work with a focus on phlebotomy.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical laboratory practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture, blood sampling, specimen handling, and aseptic technique.
Valid certification in Phlebotomy or related field; additional certifications such as BLS/CPR are highly desirable.
Experience working in hospital settings or with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and heavy lifting safely.
