Position Overview
This Installer position is over the road. Candidates must have advanced knowledge of executing fixture installations, display setups, and merchandising tasks in commercial retail and restaurant environments. The Installer works closely with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed to specification in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and assembly of fixtures, equipment, displays, shelving, and signage, ensuring alignment with client specifications and brand standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mounting hardware to securely attach fixtures to walls, ceilings, and floors while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the design.
- Organize and stock displays, ensuring that merchandising and visual guidelines are met, including product placement, promotional signage, and price accuracy.
- Must be able to understand and execute schematics/plan-o-grams.
- Aid in executing resets and remodels. May be working on various store fixtures (steel, gondola, millwork). Some projects will involve moving, removing, tear-down, rebuild and installing new fixtures.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to verify that installations and displays are accurate, safe, and visually appealing.
- Follow safety guidelines and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex installation challenges, coordinating with team members to address unexpected obstacles effectively.
- Work efficiently to complete tasks in active spaces ensuring minimal disruption.
- Travel to various job sites as needed, with flexibility to adjust to different schedules depending on the project.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be in good standing with DAVACOs preferred rental car companies.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
- 6 - 8 years of experience in merchandising, with a strong background in store fixtures and installations.
- Advanced proficiency in using hand and power tools, and interpreting layout plans and installation instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle unforeseen challenges during installations.
- Must be technologically savvy with the ability to use smartphones, texting, and email.
- Strong time-management skills to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices applicable to installation work.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Physical capability to lift, move, and position heavy fixtures and equipment (at least 50 pounds unassisted)
- Stamina to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, climb ladders and perform physically demanding
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed, including overnight stays.
- Comfortable sharing accommodations with team members.
- Smartphone in good working condition with hands-free capability.
