Job Overview
We are looking for an outgoing, friendly person who is interested in joining our hospitality team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable wine tasting experiences for our guests. We need individuals who are enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable to assist with sales of wine, beer, retail and meals. The relaxed atmosphere offers ample opportunity for up-selling cases of wine and continuous learning in the knowledge of wine.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for patrons and is knowledgeable about the wine and beer we currently offer
- Takes food orders from restaurants next door and makes sure it is delivered in a timely manner
- Interacts with customers in a friendly and helpful way. Stays guest focused and nurtures an excellent guest experience
- Assesses customers’ needs, preferences and makes recommendations
- Pours wine and beer following Company and legal guidelines and complies with all food and beverage regulations
- Checks customers’ identification and confirms it meets legal drinking age
- Keeps track of all employee drinks throughout the shift and ensures that they are rang in correctly
- Keeps tasting room organized, clean and all items dated and rotated properly. Takes responsibility that plants outside are watered, windows are cleaned daily, candles are lit, retail shirts are folded nicely, and clutter is eliminated
- Restocks and replenishes bar, retail inventory & supplies
- Is knowledgeable about the Wine Club, shipments of wine, website, current promotions and retail items and promote them to customers.
- At times, may operate the wine canning machinery following all safety guidelines. Ensures quality and conformity as cans are filled and lids are sealed. Keeps the workspace clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments and banquet settings; previous retail or food service experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless order entry and transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and alcohol serving regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and retail math calculations.

Work Environment
Movement is spent in low to medium traffic areas while performing various tasks. The position is exposed to soft to medium music levels and low-lights for long periods of time (8+ hours)
Physical Demands
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours). Requires at times high and low levels of movement with the ability to reach with arms, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and squat. Requires the lifting of items up to 35 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Hourly position that requires a flexible schedule, often-working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts can include as early as 11 a.m. and as late as 9:30 p.m.
